Before Frank Lloyd Wright first built in Los Angeles, his eldest son, Lloyd Wright, moved to the city where he would practice architecture for the rest of his life. Lloyd Wright designed buildings and landscapes in the spirit of his father’s revolutionary ideas, but infused with the brash vitality of Southern California. From his spectactular houses of the 1920s to orchestral shells for the Hollywood Bowl to the celebrated Wayfarers Chapel, Lloyd Wright’s buildings are as theatrical as stage sets, yet his work remains under-appreciated today. Why not spend your Saturday looking at three of the stunning homes of architect Lloyd Wright’s homes on May 8th, 2010 in Los Angeles from 10am to 4pm.
